Whitesands Grom Comp POSTPONED
Event Update: Whitesands Grom Comp Postponed
The Welsh Surfing Federation regrets to announce that this weekend’s Grom Competition at Whitesands, Pembrokeshire, has been postponed.
After closely monitoring the forecast, it’s clear that the combination of strong onshore winds and a large swell would make conditions challenging and unsuitable for our young surfers. Our priority is to ensure that the competition is not only safe, but also enjoyable, and the predicted surf would not provide the platform our groms deserve.
A new date for the event will be confirmed shortly, and we’re looking forward to bringing everyone together for a fantastic day of surfing once conditions are more favourable.
We’d like to thank all competitors, parents, and volunteers for their understanding, and we can’t wait to see you back in the water soon.
