ISA World Surfing Games Starts tomorrow - Surfers from Wales make up 50% of the GB Team!

The ISA World Surfing Games 2025 are about to kick off, running from 5th - 14th September. This prestigious event gathers the world’s best surfers to compete for national pride and vital qualification points on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

This year, the GB team has a strong Welsh presence, with 50% of the squad coming from Welsh surf clubs. Representing are:

Logan Nicol (Channel Coast Surf Club)
Patrick Langdon-Dark (Langland Boardriders)
Alys Barton (Langland Boardriders)

The ISA World Surfing Games is renowned as the pinnacle of team surfing competition, with nations from across the globe uniting under their national colours. With the Olympic pathway in place, our British home nations can no longer compete separately, making selection for the GB team an even greater achievement for our athletes.

It’s not only a chance for Logan, Patrick, and Alys to shine on the world stage, but also an opportunity to inspire the next generation back home.

We wish the very best of luck to the Welsh surfers and the whole GB squad as they take on the world’s elite.
