Welsh Junior Team generously supported by Porthcawl Surf Shop

The WSF and our Junior team are exceptionally grateful for the very generous support received via our crowd funder. The money from which has been used to cover travel and accommodation costs. Amongst those who have so kindly supported our team is Hugh Murray of Porthcawl Surf Shop who's business has only recently opened at Rest Bay, was delighted to support the junior teams kit and help to cover the not insignificant costs associated with sending a full team and officials to Portugal.

The WSF has used its profits to pay the Euro Surf entry and officiating fees whilst WSF Team Manager Gwen Spurlock and Junior Coach Phil Saddler have given up their own time and busy business lives to travel and take care of the team during the near two week trip. The 2022 competition makes its first return since 2019 after successive postponements as a result od the Covid pandemic.

The Junior Squad has today arrived in Santa Cruz, Portugal to represent Wales in the EuroSurf Junior Championships.
