The Welsh National Championships 2020 - UPDATE

Welsh National Surfing Championships 2020 Update
The Welsh Surfing Federation are in direct dialogue with Sport Wales to seek permission from the Welsh Government as to the possibility of running the PuraVida MiPost Welsh Nationals in late October early November, as a test event for a return to outdoor activity. The Welsh Government will ultimately make this decision and a response is not expected until sometime between the 14th / 25th September.
In addition, further permissions are also required from land owners and national parks to permit access.
A number of our members have made reference to the English Nationals running their Junior event. We would respectfully remind our members that England has it’s own ruling and governance to sporting activity and that the English Surfing Federation will be working to that criteria.
We understand this is a frustrating time for competitors wishing to return to action.
