The Welsh Nationals 2026 is ON at Fresh West
The 2026 PuraVida MiPost Welsh Nationals is on for this weekend - Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, and will relocate in full to Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire.
The adult categories will run Friday and the kids over Saturday and Sunday. We anticipate clean shoulder-to-head-high conditions Friday, with a similar outlook Saturday morning and a fading swell as the day progresses. Sunday shows smaller conditions but will remain an option for competition if required.
The WSF has made this decision based on a good surf forecast and a three-day period over which we should enjoy dry, fine weather conditions.
Please be aware the venue poses considerable operational challenges, and we ask all parties for your cooperation. We also respectfully remind all parties to keep well clear of the judging area and that any queries should follow ISA protocol.

Women’s: Open, Over 35, Longboard, Bodyboard
Men’s: Open, Over 35, Over 40, Over 50, Longboard, Bodyboard

SATURDAY – 8AM START – CATEGORIES TO RUN
Girls: U18, U16, U14 and U18 Longboard
Boys: U18, U16, U14 and U18 Longboard
Running order to follow.
SUNDAY (schedule for Sunday to be confirmed Saturday)

The draw
The draw will be confirmed on our website and via the event WhatsApp group during Thursday. Please, please double check your name is in the draw. If your name is missing, please email admin@wsf.wales
Running order (subject to change)
The categories running on each day are fixed. However, the running order will be confirmed on our website and via the event WhatsApp group Thursday 23rd April and will be subject to change after an assessment of conditions.
Please be aware!
There are no food and drink facilities at Freshwater. No fires or camping are permitted at Freshwater West beach car parks and surrounding areas.
