Josie Hawke and Patrick Langdon-Dark are our new Welsh National Surfing Championships Women's and Men's Open champions.
The pair put on outstanding displays in day one of The Welsh yesterday at a blustery Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire, where a southerly swell produced solid head high waves for our competitors to tear into.
We had champions crowned in the Men's and Women's Longboard, Men's 35+, 40+, 50+, the Women's 35+, and the Men's and Women's Bodyboard on day one.
Conditions calmed but there was no loss in wave size for day two of The Welsh for our Junior divisions. Podium places were confirmed for our U18s, U16s and U18 Longboard events on this high-octane Saturday.
We couldn't have wished for better conditions on day three when the wind abaited and waves dropped to 2-3ft. Our U14s had some fun out there!
